We are pleased to announce that Ms. Zhanna Abylkhanova, the Head of Legalmax office in Kazakhstan, has been elected as a Chairman of the Union of Patent Attorneys of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Zhanna has been leading the Kazakhstan office for the past few years. Prior to joining Legalmax, Zhanna had specialized in legal support of IP and IT projects at one of the largest law firms in the world in terms of number of lawyers for more than seven years.

We are convinced that Zhanna’s election, and entrusting her with such responsible functions, will certainly contribute to strengthening the role of patent attorneys and improving the business environment both among professional market participants and in the field of state regulation and protection of intellectual property.

In recent years, Zhanna Abylkhanova has been directly involved in shaping of judicial practice in a number of significant cases in Kazakhstan, as well as key industry-wide approaches to dispute resolution in the field of patent use, personal data protection and countering unfair competition.

Dual job at the management of the Legalamax and support of the projects, along with public work within the Union of Patent Attorneys is not an easy task. However, the inherent optimism and confidence makes these endeavor an achievable goal.
