Legalmax Strengthens Customs IP Enforcement in Mongolia
Legalmax announces the launch of a new initiative aimed at enhancing intellectual property protection mechanisms as part of its Eurasian practice, this time in Mongolia.
Acting for one of the world’s leading FMCG brands, the Legalmax team successfully organized and delivered a specialized training program for Mongolian customs officers. The training covered key import checkpoints in Mongolia, which handle significant trade flows from Russia and Central Asia on a daily basis.
The primary objective of the program was to build practical skills for customs officials in conditions closely simulating real-life operations. Special focus was placed on training Mongolian specialists in matters of critical importance to foreign rights holders, aimed at strengthening brand protection at the border. More than 50 participants from customs departments across five border regions attended the training, engaging in discussions on modern methods for detecting counterfeit and look-alike goods, reviewing real-life cases, and practicing response algorithms using genuine and counterfeit product samples.
Legalmax continues to expand its practice in Mongolia, including cooperation with governmental agencies and the judiciary.
